There are a few opportunities to tell you about this month from support surgeries, to funding and creative opportunities.
January Support Surgeries

City of Edinburgh Council Project Fund: New Work (Performing Arts)
This new fund aims to stimulate and support artistic and cultural projects that benefit Edinburgh and those who live in and visit the city. The 2017/18 New Work Fund will award grants to organisations based in Edinburgh for costs involved in developing new performing arts work. Awards of up to £5000 are available.
The deadline for these awards for 2017/18 is: Friday 10 March 2017 at 12 noon
The Writers in Theatre Award is a playwriting prize for new playwrights who work in the theatre industry and are resident in the United Kingdom.
They want to find and nurture a playwright who has worked in theatre for two years or more; candidates may have worked front-of-house, on stage, backstage or in administrative roles. Candidates will not yet have had a play professionally produced.
The winner will receive a new play commission of £8,000, a development relationship with Out of Joint, and a workshop with actors and a director to develop the play, with a presentation before an audience.

Just Festival August 2017 - Call for submissions
The Just Festival is looking for proposals from individuals, groups, organisations and companies that wish to collaborate on a rich programme that informs and inspires.

Creative Edinburgh Access to Finance Forum: More than Money
Creative Scotland (CS), Social Investment Scotland (SIS) and Creative Edinburgh will join forces to run a one-day Access to Finance Forum: ‘More than Money’ which will include micro talks, panel discussions, case-studies and networking to build knowledge and understanding of alternative financing and financial models for Scotland’s creative and cultural organisations. The Wee Theatre - rehearsal and performing space
A little reminder that the theatre space at St Margaret's House is available to book for rehearsals and performances at a very reasonable price.
EPAD is funded by the City of Edinburgh Council, with the support of the Festival City Theatres Trust and the Traverse Theatre. Please note that as this is a targeted initiative, it is only open to those whose work is based in Edinburgh.
