Hi and welcome to our April newsletter. As the construction industry continues to operate in these unusual times we also have a lot to celebrate. This month the eagerly-anticipated NorthLink WA project reached completion and is now in use by WA motorists. Compass at Leighton Beach is losing its scaffolding and is one step closer to completion, while our client Tellus enjoyed a little bit of the spotlight.
NorthLink WA Open

At $1.02 billion NorthLink is WA's biggest road project and was officially opened on April 22.

The NorthLink WA route connects Morley and Muchea and means motorists can now avoid up to 16 sets of traffic signals, two railway crossings and 21 speed limit changes.

We are extremely proud to have been involved in such a momentous project in WA, delivering time lapse photography for CPB Contractors.

Construction and COVID

Roads Online magazine are constructing a four-part web series, covering the challenges and opportunities in the construction industry during the current pandemic.

The first article features Downer and the Australian Asphalt Pavement Association discussing how they are responding to the new circumstances. Read here.

Tellus All About It

Did you catch us in the newspaper recently?

Our photo of Tellus' giant air dome featured in The West Australian this month.

It's the southern hemisphere's biggest air dome and it sits in WA's Goldfields. "It will be used to cover mining operations with the voids, then used to store hazardous waste," Tellus said.

Stairway to Health

Sitevisuals is all set up to capture construction of the second stage of the Whitfords Nodes Health and Wellbeing Hub. This week we installed one of our cameras to monitor the build progress of a new 21-metre high fitness stairway and lookout.

What people say...

Sitevisuals' time lapse system proved to be invaluable during ABS Facade's installation at the new Western Australian Museum. It was invaluable in tracking progress on site directly back to the project programme, and potential saving of thousands of dollars in disputes. We also enjoyed that we were able to keep our stakeholders informed every step of the way. We will definitely use Sitevisuals again
