We are thrilled to share with you a new podcast series from Conecta Arizona, a multi-platform news service that Feet in 2 Worlds helped launch. Produced by Conecta Arizona's founder and Director, and former Fi2W Fellow Maritza Félix, Cruzando Líneas features reporting from seven independent journalists from the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, and Argentina, with stories of family, food, love, traditions, sports, immigration, and all the beauty that the U.S.-Mexico border region holds. These are stories that often remain invisible in traditional media.
The new podcast, produced in Spanish, showcases the talents of journalists who serve Spanish-speaking audiences. Cruzando Líneas is a platform where local reporters and producers reclaim the border narrative in their language and accents. Through their stories, they are shattering stereotypes and sharing with the world the many positive border stories that are not being told.
Cruzando Líneas can be heard on WhatsApp, on Conecta Arizona’s YouTube channel, at Cruzandolineas.com, in addition to all traditional podcast platforms.
To mark the launch of the podcast, Maritza wrote an Op-ed for Fi2W. Read it here.
