Sorry the March (and April) newsletters are late out - I have been busy on invoicing so will send 2 short newsletters just containing the minutes in the next day or so and then a BUMPER "roar edition" before the AGM.
So - If you have anything to go in that "ROAR EDITION" newsletter.... photos, stories, info, please get it to me by the end of the week
Minutes from Meeting 28th Mar 2019
Chris Brooks from the Queenstown police came to the March meeting to chat about the recent firearms changes
He gave an interesting insight to the changes since the CHC event, and that because of the high threat level, they were all now wearing guns, and a few of the police were heading to CHC to support the vigil there.
He asked that you don't bring any rifles into the station until invited and just said to go online and register the ones you need to surrender and then wait. (note COLFO were advising to wait - still waiting to hear official NZDA stance)
President added to the meeting attendees, that everyone should be very careful what they post and share on social media. If you have a rifle that falls in the category of the newly banned ones, then it needs to be secure, not used and you are not to sell or take it to the police station yet.
