Dear Parents, Students and Friends,

It is wonderful to back after an extended break in Europe and Hawaii. Feeling very rested and looking forward to the rest of the year.

Confirmation

I had the privilege of attending the Confirmation Reflection Day on Monday and I must say that we should all be very proud of the way that the young people in our school responded. I look forward to the ceremony on Saturday Night. The candidates have been asked to meet in the PD Health Room by 5.30pm.  Mr Thompson will be taking photos of each candidate.

The service commences at 6.00pm in the Church and everyone is invited to join us and celebrate this special Sacrament for our Year 6 students.

Fiver for a Farmer

Tomorrow we join with the rest of the schools in the Albury Deanery to raise money for our farming communities. Whilst it is called a ‘fiver for a farmer” any donation is welcome and 100% of the funds are used to assist as there is zero admin money taken out.   Staff and students are invited to dress in ‘farming clothes.’  Band members will also be busking at Recess and Lunch around the school.

Prime Minister's Visit

Mr Scott Morrison, Prime Minister will be visiting Albury tomorrow and we have been invited to busk in AMP Lane from 1.30am when he is due to visit. Members of our school band have been selected to attend. If you are around during this time you may care to call in.

Year 1 Assembly & Book Week Parade

Thank you to year 1 students and their teachers for a very entertaining assembly and a wonderful celebration of book week with the parade being incorporated into the morning. Well done and you can view lots of photos on our galleries page.  Thank you to Mr. Thompson for the fantastic pictures and to our Year 2 parents for the delicious morning tea.

It has been a big week in the faith journey of our Year 6 children. The Confirmation Reflection Day took place on Monday. The children engaged in prayer, reflection, song, dance, art and craft as they further developed their understanding of and commitment to confirming the gifts of the Holy Spirit which they received first at their Baptism.

The Confirmation candidates and their families celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Tuesday evening. The healing power of God’s forgiveness strengthens us to be open to all that the Holy Spirit can transform in our lives.

Please pray for these children and their families. Confirmation is Saturday, 8th September at 6.00pm in St. Patrick's Church.

A reminder that our Parish School Mass is the following Saturday, 15th September, at 5.00pm. Notes encouraging the children to be involved  as readers and/or choir members went home on Monday. Can these please be returned by Tuesday, 11th September. We invite all families to celebrate this Mass together.

RE:  UPGRADE TO SCHOOL STREAM APP
Dear Parents,
We are looking forward to the new School Stream update being released on the Apple and Google Play Store.
Please check that you update the app when it’s released. You can even set your phone’s app updates to automatic. Here are the instructions for the Apple App Store (https://goo.gl/mvC9as) and the Google Play Store (https://goo.gl/XCgkL1).
To get the most out of the app features we do recommend creating an account so you can easily manage the content the school sends through.
To create an account, go to the side menu via the top-left corner and click on "Log-in". This is a quick and easy process that will require your first and last name, and a mobile number, email, or Facebook account authorisation.
Once you have created your account, you will be able to access all of the new app features.
