Dear Parents & Carers

The term is quickly passing us by and school life continues to be busy.

This morning our Year 6 students set off on their excursion to Canberra. Whilst there was a chill in the air, there was a real buzz of excitement as the children and their teachers gathered for their first overnight experience together. Their itinerary is busy and fully complements what they have been learning in class. We’re sure they’ll have an enjoyable time.

Last Friday, 28th October was World Teachers' Day. Here at St Pat’s we celebrated with a morning tea.

In Week 2, Cooper Battocchio and Mia Hogan both travelled to Sydney to compete in the PSSA Athletics Carnival. Both had a wonderful time at the carnival and had fantastic results!
Cooper came 15th in the 12 Yr Boys 100m. Mia came 1st in Multi Class 8-10 Yr Girls 200m, Long Jump, Shot Put and 2nd in Multi Class 8-10 Yr Girls 100m, 800m, Discus. Mia was also named Multi Class Athlete of the meet and broke 3 records! What a fantastic effort Mia and Cooper.
Mia is now off to the All Schools Carnival in Brisbane later this month.

A group of 9 Year 3 and 4 students travelled to Wagga to compete in the Todd Woodbridge Cup in Week 3 with Mrs Scammell and Mrs Meagher. They had a wonderful time and showed great sportsmanship. On the day, although the weather conditions weren’t perfect, everyone played with determination. Unfortunately we did not make the semi finals, however all students should be commended for their effort, sportsmanship and behaviour.

Last week Phoebe Godward-Smith was in Canberra competing in the All School Tennis Tournament. She played against every State and Territory in a combination of mixed, doubles, and singles games. Phoebe had an amazing time and played some great tennis. The NSW team won bronze. What a fantastic effort Phoebe! Super coach Phil Shanahan was also involved in coaching the NSW team to victory. Thank you for all of your efforts Phil!
