In last Sunday’s Gospel (Luke 9:28-36) we heard the recount of Jesus’ transfiguration.

It was a special moment for Peter, James and John, when they witnessed the divinity of Jesus breaking through and becoming visible. One night when the four of them had gone up a mountain to pray, the face of Jesus became radiant and his clothes a dazzling white. Then there came a voice from heaven, ‘This is my Son, my Chosen one; listen to him.’ Soon the moment had passed and they were alone again with the Jesus they knew. Our lives too are lived on different levels. There is the day-to-day round of familiar activities.

Then there are moments of grace and insight that break through into our lives – when we recognise the deeper level where our lives are intertwined with the divine life of God.

You call us out of the darkness.

Tati lives in the remote forest of Indonesia. She is a mother of three who was earning an income working in a local rubber plantation. Since taking part in eco-tourism training with Caritas Australia and its partners, Tati can now afford to send her children to school. With new hope and commitment Tati aspires to a future free from poverty for her family.

Please donate to Project Compassion 2019 and help lift communities in Indonesia out of poverty, and give them hope to protect our common home.

Lives change when we all give 100%. You can donate through Parish boxes and envelopes, by visiting www.caritas.org.au/projectcompassion or phoning 1800 024 413.

RE:  UPGRADE TO SCHOOL STREAM APP
Dear Parents,
We are looking forward to the new School Stream update being released on the Apple and Google Play Store.
Please check that you update the app when it’s released. You can even set your phone’s app updates to automatic. Here are the instructions for the Apple App Store (https://goo.gl/mvC9as) and the Google Play Store (https://goo.gl/XCgkL1).
To get the most out of the app features we do recommend creating an account so you can easily manage the content the school sends through.
To create an account, go to the side menu via the top-left corner and click on "Log-in". This is a quick and easy process that will require your first and last name, and a mobile number, email, or Facebook account authorisation.
Once you have created your account, you will be able to access all of the new app features.
