The year has commenced very smoothly and the children have settled in well. It has been wonderful walking through classrooms seeing our teachers and students engaged in their learning.
On Tuesday 4th February, teachers from our Deanery gathered together for Mass to celebrate the beginning of a new school year and commitment to our profession. At this Mass, several of our teachers were recognised for reaching significant milestones in their years of service in Catholic education. Congratulations to Rob Unsworth, Brenda Seckold, Elecia Turner, Tony Brooks, Margie Moore and Jo Good.
Our Opening School Mass was a lovely celebration and we were thankful that many of you could join us for this. Congratulations to our Student Council who were presented with their badges. We are very much looking forward to meeting with them in the coming days.
Captains: Lilly Baranyay Charlie Plunkett
Vice Captains: Ruby Moona William Clarke
Councillors: Milla Bush, Billy Hilton, Sofia Oliver, Harrison Paul, Mikayla Royal & Lachlan Wheatley.
Following Mass, Father Joel blessed and officially opened the Sensory Garden. Weather conditions were very hot and humid, and the children greatly appreciated the sprinkle of Holy Water that came their way!! To date, this new play area has brought great enjoyment for our students. The BBQ lunch organised by Mrs Phegan and cooked by Mr Brooks and Mr Phegan was most tasty and we thank them for all their work.
