Passive protagonists are often frowned upon in the writing world. But there are two types of passive protagonists. One type is discouraged and the other is not.

A protagonist who is passive in the plot doesn't influence the story enough and makes it harder for readers to get invested in them. Is your protagonist too passive in the story?
