Happy Friday, trash talkers!

The next Talk Trash City event will be held in late February. Stay tuned for more details soon!

In the meantime, we wanted to give you a quick update on our TTC contestants from the September pitch contest. As expected, all are rocking it.
The winner of our first Talk Trash City pitch contest is on a roll. Last night, Jessica Schreiber of FABSCRAP made her pitch to Project Runway judges. They were just as impressed as the TTC crowd in September, and they awarded her with $65,000 in seed-funding. Congrats, Jessica – here’s to your growing start-up and to shrinking piles of landfill-bound textiles!

Join her at the FABSCRAP Launch Party in Williamsburg tonight (Nov.18th, 7pm): Click here to RSVP

Amanda Weeks of Industrial/Organic was a finalist at the Eco-SXSW in the Reuse + Recycling Category on Oct. 12th.
Jennifer Groves of Repeat Roses was featured in Oprah Magazine’s November Edition.

Alessandro Ciari of GO Box has taken on a new role as Director of Communications for eco-moving company, Movers, Not Shakers! He continues to work with GO Box as they gear up for a pilot program starting in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
