We are so excited to introduce you to two new members of the Chamber Team! Darla and Terra are bright, talented, and caring individuals that will help us fulfill our Chamber mission. Please help me welcome them!

Meet Terra Cooper, our new Director of Marketing and Events. Terra grew up and still currently lives in Davis County and loves this area! She graduated from Weber State University and has since worked in many fields including teaching, photography, graphic design, and marketing. She also runs an adoption non-profit that focuses on education, support and ethical adoption practices.



Meet Darla Jones, our new Director of Member Development. Darla is a proud Cache Valley native. She graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Parks & Recreation Management. With over 17 years experience working with the general public and loves networking. Darla is excited to be a part of the Davis Chamber of Commerce team!

NEW 4th Annual 9-11 Memorial Ruck On Wednesday, September 11th at 8:20 am, join the Hill AFB Fire and Emergency Services, Kaysville FD/PD and Layton FD/PD to honor the 412 first responders who gave their lives to protect and serve on September 11, 2001. Upcoming I-15 Closures North- and southbound I-15 in Layton will close for three nights beginning on Friday, August 9th through early Monday, August 12th for the Church Street bridge demolition. Northbound lanes will be reduced beginning at 9 p.m. Southbound lane restrictions will begin at 7 p.m. Drivers will be detoured to Main Street in Layton. Church Street Bridge Closed through May 2020 The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is closing the Church Street bridge over I-15 in Layton as part of the I-15 Davis-Weber Express Lanes project. Church Street will remain closed for up to 10 months as crews relocate utilities, demolish the existing bridge and construct a new one at this location. Drivers should follow the detour signs to Fort Lane and Gentile Street and use caution. For more information click here.

Rural Economic Development Incentive (REDI) The Rural Economic Development Incentive (REDI) is a unique grant given to businesses located anywhere—whether urban or rural, remote or local—that will hire skilled workers living in rural Utah. The grant gives businesses $4,000 to $6,000 for each new full-time position paying at least 125% of the rural county’s average wage.
