Member Spotlight
This week we are spotlighting the fantastic Davis School District. The Davis School District was created in 1911 with it's first official high school, Davis High, opening in 1914. Davis School District is the only district in Utah that is K-12 accredited. They boast a 95% graduation rate with Layton High leading the way at 97%!!! They have their own Headstart program, help adults get their GED's and have a program at Farmington Bay for incarcerated teens. If you have a new kindergartener you will be happy to know that they are ranked 7% higher than the national average for K-3 reading progress!

The Davis Education Foundation has raised over $3 million for classroom and innovative grants. With their motto being "Learning First" their focus is on parent and community connections, student growth and achievement, empowered employees, safe schools, and fiscal responsibility. Davis School District is ranked #41 in our State for the Best Places to Work in Utah!!

When asked what makes this district so great, Chris Williams, Director of Communications and Operations at Davis School District, said, "Hands down the teachers and the parents." We agree.
