“Only God can answer the question of why we are suffering in this way,” Bishop Radoslaw Zmitrowicz told ACN. More than 14 million people have been forced to flee their homes since Russian soldiers first crossed the border.

Bishop Radoslaw, Auxiliary Bishop of Kamyanets-Podilskyi, said the Church has opened the doors of its convents and monasteries, but is struggling to cope with wave after wave of internal refugees – and is worried by a drop in the humanitarian aid coming from the international community.

ACN is continuing to support the vital work being done by the Church across Ukraine. Refugees of all faiths and none are being fed, clothed and accommodated by the Church – thanks to your love.

Ukraine stories:
Faith under fire
ACN is consecrated to Our Lady of Fatima, who calls on us all to pray the Rosary every day. Father Konstantyn Morozow, a Capuchin brother from Vinnytsia, told ACN a Rosary story concerning one of his parishioners. On 14th July, the day of a devastating attack on the city, she had been praying the Rosary in front of an image of Our Lady, at home. Suddenly, she says, she heard an inner voice asking her to leave the house immediately. A couple of minutes later, missiles hit and damaged the city’s central square and surrounding buildings, where she lived. Her home was destroyed but the image of Our Lady remained untouched.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for Ukraine.
