The countdown is on! 

There are only 12 more Mondays until Christmas and now is a great time to start thinking of what you are doing over the summer break with your staff. Some top tips to make it a successful hire:

  • Identify whether it is a casual or a fixed term person you require
  • Don’t forget to follow a good recruitment process – they may only be casual and/or short term but they will still be ambassadors for your business
  • They need to have Employment Agreements – whether they work for one hour a week or one week a year they still need a valid agreement to cover you both under employment legislation
  • Public Holidays can cause confusion with entitlements to lieu days and time and half pay – we can help you make the right call
  • Don’t leave it until the last minute to hire – the good candidates get snapped up fast
