Troitsa by Russian iconographer, St. Andrei Rublev, 1370 - 1430 C.E.  "Three figures are seated at table, under a tree and in the vicinity of a large house, the home of Abraham and Sarah, at Mamre. These figures represent the Three Persons in One God, or The Holy Trinity. The icon underlines the sameness of the three figures by using a single identical image, repeated three times but robed differently to suggest three different qualities of the three Spirits, or Angels – the Three Aspects of God." Forward in Faith ... and Hope! Our Inquirers / Confirmation program for adults and youth concludes this Sunday at 9:30 AM in Emmaus Hall with a discussion about our worship traditions. We thank Father Bolle and Chuck McDonnell for leading this forum to prepare our confirmands and refresh our understanding of Christianity and the Episcopal tradition.

John and Kim Russell are hosting a summer supper at their home on Saturday, June 29th from 5:30 to 9 pm. All adults at Resurrection are invited. They will serve Jambalaya and ask that you bring an appetizer or dessert to share. BYOB please too. Their address is 117 Yorke Drive in Druid Hills. RSVP kindly to denise@episcopalgreeenwood.org by Wednesday, June 26th, so we can have an accurate head count for food preparation.

Confirmation will take place on June 30 with Bishop Waldo’s visit. We will combine our worship services that morning at 10:30 AM. Bishop Waldo also will hold an adult forum at 9:30 AM in Emmaus Hall.

On Sunday, July 7, we’ll enjoy a Patriotic Breakfast at 9:30 AM in Emmaus Hall. Fr. Bolle will be away visiting his new grandson, and the Reverend Donald S. McPhail will be preaching and celebrating for us.

It is not too early to seek sponsors for our Thanksgiving Day Race to be Thankful. We could use an enthusiastic, charismatic and possibly well-connected person to help obtain sponsors from area businesses and companies. If this sounds like you and you are willing to help, please contact Kim Russell at kimjer100@gmail.com or 344-8009. Compensation includes a free t shirt and a great amount of appreciation.

Pastoral Care in Transition: Fr. Bolle will be available for our pastoral needs throughout his time as our interim rector. You may reach him by phone at 864-554-3240 or email at stephen@episcopalgreenwood.org.
