Hiya <<First Name>>!
Thanks so much for connecting with Lutheran Campus Ministry at the Org Fair this week. With so many student organizations and opportunities at UW, we are grateful that you took the time to learn more about us!
British author and theologian G.K. Chesterton once wrote, "We are perishing for lack of wonder, not for lack of wonders." Chesterton suggests that in our daily lives, God surrounds us with countless wonders: the beauty of creation, the intricacy of science, the heritage of critical thought, the blessedness of friendship.
It can be easy to miss these wonders in the midst of life, but worshiping together calls us back to a sense of wonder, gratitude, and peace in the midst of our daily life. Each week, a community of faith gathers at Lutheran Campus Ministry on Thursday nights to worship God and to invite God into our hearts and minds.
Worship at Lutheran Campus Ministry is a space for everyone who longs for God. You are invited today, and every Thursday, to join us at 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary at Luther Memorial Church, next door to the LCM Student Center. Our service is simple and sacred. We sing, pray, hear scripture, and pause to remember that we, and this whole world, belong to God. Please join us.
Each week after worship, we eat dinner together at the LCM Student Center. We share fellowship over the meal from about 6:00 to 6:15. From 6:15 to about 7:00, we study and discuss our faith together. This fall, we’re starting out with a series of conversations about the Enneagram, and how we can understand and love ourselves more fully when we see how God has made us. All are welcome: believers, seekers, doubters, and questioners.
I hope you'll join us tonight and throughout your time on campus.
