Welcome to Madison, <<First Name>>, and welcome to Lutheran Campus Ministry!
My name is Emily and I'm the Campus Pastor here at Lutheran Campus Ministry. We are a welcoming, affirming community centered on four purposes: to provide hospitality, to deepen faith, to engage minds, and to inspire service. Many students describe Lutheran Campus Ministry (or LCM) as a "home away from home" on campus. We hope that we can walk with you through your time in Madison.
We believe that faith is a journey that encompasses both the heart and the mind. No matter where you are on that journey: a passionate Christian, questioning your faith, or just starting out, you are welcome here.
At Lutheran Campus Ministry, we are unabashedly followers of Christ. Like Christ, we strive to be inquisitive, accepting, meaningfully conversational, and committed to justice and peace.
Lutheran Campus Ministry is located across from the UW chemistry building, at the corner of University Avenue and Mills Street. Our building is open throughout the week and is a great place to study and meet friends. We serve free coffee, tea, and snacks throughout the day.
If you want to try to make sense of what’s going on in the world and where God might be in it, I hope you’ll consider joining us for one of our small group conversation series this fall. We have a small group gathering just for first year students on Wednesday nights. You’re also invited to our regular Thursday night faith conversation, one of our worship services at Luther Memorial, and to come by Student Center at LCM to study and for free coffee.
I hope you’ll get involved, but if you’re not interested, you can unsubscribe at the bottom. I’m looking forward to meeting you this fall. May God bless you as this semester unfolds.
