Christmas Party

Yet another year has gone by and its time again for our end of year social get together.  I know its a bit late with organising this, but sadly I've been a bit sick this past month so a few things have been put on hold while I literally got back on my feet again.

However, Laura and a few others from the social club have been busy sharing ideas and have come up with a plan.

Here it is;
This year we're organising something a little bit different to the usual drinks in town.  What you need is a bike, your cycling legs, a backpack with a few snacks/nibbles to share, a drink if you want one and a backpack to carry your own belongings.  We will supply some other nibbles/treats, some drinks and Nige will bring his bike trailer to carry it all, along with a few blankets to picnic on.

When;      Saturday 3rd December (yes this coming Saturday, so hope you can make it?)
Where;     Meeting 1:30pm Richmond Aquatic Centre Carpark. 
What;       We will be biking to Rabbit Island along the great taste trail for a picnic together, before returning back along the same path.  Its 15km each way so will take no longer than 1hr (probably 40mins). We will plan to arrive on the island 2:30-3pm, then start riding back around 4:30pm.
If you don't fancy the ride or are a bit short on time do please come along by driving out and join us for the picnic on the island from 3-4pm (roughly) anyway.  Give Nige a call (0274118463) at the time to find us.

Mid morning Coffee with Nige

Additionally a mid morning coffee will be had at Raglan Roast coffee in Tahuna with Nige at 10:15am (just after 9am boot camp), on Friday 16th December.  No need to RSVP, just turn up. 

 

Fitness Testing Week

Fitness testing week has been and gone, thank goodness no one said ever!  But it is always good to be challenged, if not by someone else or an event, but by yourself.  Nobody likes testing, but it really is the best way to prove to yourself you have improved or making progress by measuring what you are doing.  It can help with motivation too, by working towards something and setting yourself some goals, no matter what they are.  

The Test Schedule;   (Monday 5th - Friday 9th December)

1 mile run (1.6km) fitness test
1min Strength Tests - Press up and Squat
Plank Hold to Failure

Monday 5th December 6pm
Niges Cathedral Steps 300 rep Challenge

Tuesday 6th December 6am
Beep/shuttle run fitness test
1min Strength Tests - Press up and Squat
Plank Hold to Failure

Wednesday 7th December 6pm
1 mile run (1.6km) fitness test

Saturday Super Boot Camp - Now 7:30am

Saturdays Super Boot Camps are continuing througout the rest of winter as they offer you all a change of scenery and a different challenge.  Please check the website, Facebook page for a reminder of where the locations are for each week and get along and try one.  The response has only been positive about them and change is as good as a break.

So spread the word, set your own alarm and bring some friends along too.

November and December Payments

November payments are due next week.

A reminder of the rules;
  • If you do miss a session or two for some reason, you do have the remainder of that month to catch those sessions up.  
  • Missed sessions can't be rolled over to the next calendar month.  If you want flexibility, then perhaps a concession card is the better option for you. 
  • Please pay the monthly fees by the 10th of the month. 
  • If you want to do more sessions in a month and your feeling extra motivated, then feel free to try.  You can always scale up and pay the difference at the end of the month.

Unlimited sessions - $145/month
3 sessions/Week - $115/month
2 sessions/Week - $85/month
Concession Card, 10 sessions - $120, 4 sessions - $50
