You can better protect our rainforests

Happy International Day of Forests! Today we want to celebrate tropical peat forests which are waterlogged rainforests where many endemic species of flora and fauna live and grow.

PM.Haze is giving our supporters the unique opportunity to protect these peat forests in Sungei Tohor. Your contribution will go towards building a nursery for the replanting of burnt peatlands. Rehabilitation through replanting will protect human communities and PREVENT HAZE.

You can protect us from haze

The community in Sungei Tohor wants to build a nursery to replant part of the 300 hectares of peatland that was burnt in 2014. We need to plant 6000 saplings for every hectare of land to restore, so we need your help to make it happen!

Peatland that was burnt in 2014. The vegetation is not diverse (mainly ferns and shrubs) and not is not conducive for retaining water.

CONTRIBUTE TO PREVENT HAZE

The nursery will cost S$4,129.00 and we need your help to raise this amount to protect their community from fires and haze. Your contribution will also help prevent haze in our region as Sungei Tohor is just 4 hours away from Singapore by fast ferry.
