Introducing the Kenai Peninsula Mission
Greetings from Andrew and Amy Allen and thank you for your interest in the new church planting work in Alaska's Kenai Peninsula. Please visit our fledgling website at

Amy and I became aware of this ministry opportunity in the Peninsula on May 18, 2014. After almost a year of investigation, prayer, discussions, and much waiting, we dusted off our compasses and headed north to Alaska.

The Northwest Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) approved Andrew's call to become the Associate Pastor of Church Planting at Faith Presbyterian Church in Anchorage, Alaska on May 15, 2015. Faith Presbyterian Church will be an important partner in the Kenai Peninsula Mission and we are thankful for their passion for planting churches in Alaska.

There is already a healthy group of families who have been having a Bible study (for a number of years) in Soldotna, and it has been a blessing for Amy and I to begin to get to know them all. There is much to do before we can begin publc worship on the Peninsula, but we will be sending regular updates to you as the Lord allows us grow and eventually  launch regular Sunday worship.

I wrote an article awhile back on our thoughts about moving to Alaska. You can read the article by clicking here.

We do thank you for your interest in the Kenai Peninsula Mission and we look forward to sharing ourselves and the gospel's progress with you. We also ask that you consider partnering with us in this church planting mission.
You can partner with us by joining our prayer team (email to join) or by giving financially (click here to be directed to our website for giving instructions)

If you feel led to partner with us in either of these ways and want to contact us directly about it - I would be pleased to talk with you. In this case, please email me at or call me on my cell at (907) 690-4410. I look forward to talking with you soon about the Kenai Peninsula Mission.

Unless you unsubscribe (below), you will receive periodic updates via electronic newsletter. Typically you will not receive more than one update a month; however, this being an intro newsletter, you may also receive a second update in close proximity.

Blessings in Christ Jesus,
Andrew & Amy Allen

An aerial view of the Kenai River winding its way through the town of Soldotna (where we are living) into the Cook Inlet (upper left corner). The town of Kenai is also visible just northwest of Soldotna at the mouth of the river.
