Have you used data to affect policy and practice in your district or school? Have you used data to make a case for different counselor-to-student ratios or more time in the classroom? Has using data been a triumphant journey for you personally? Then help us celebrate you and the differences that school counselors are making across the globe with their use of data! Complete our online survey and answer a few questions no later than October 31, 2016 by clicking HERE. If your story is selected and published in a new book, we’ll send you a free copy! Contact us at if you have questions or need more information.
We’ve modified our online course registration and enrollment to make it more convenient and accessible for our students. The Data, Data, Data! online course in self-paced format is now available to start at any time—no more pre-scheduled course launch dates! Also, Data, Data, Data! in the facilitated format, which includes graded assignments, facilitated class discussions, and feedback on tasks provided by a trained instructor, is now being offered to groups of 15 or more at a discounted rate. In addition, the course in either format can be offered in accord with on-site training.  Please inquire with the office by emailing us at, or visit us online at if you’d like to know more.
Hatching Results, LLC extends deep gratitude to Universal Technical Institute, specifically, Janice M. Tkaczyk, M.Ed., CAGS National Director, Counselor and Academic Relationships, for partnering with School Counselor Associations across the nation to offer a series of one-day workshops on The Use of Data in School Counseling. Thank you for opening your campuses to us and for your valuable support of school counseling.
We are grateful for having the opportunity to support so many districts and organizations in improving their use of data to develop and deliver developmental, data-driven, comprehensive school counseling programs in schools. We believe in this work and appreciate the positive feedback. Here are just a few of the comments we received on training evaluations in 2015-2016:
“As I drove home from Trish’s conference I felt positively giddy!  Everyone knows I’m a dinosaur, but I felt this (data) was something I could actually do.  I am already thinking of how I can start using this at my school.” –Erin
“I really enjoyed the training! It was interesting; I never felt bored. I appreciate that you (Lisa and Felipe) are both elementary counselors so you could really connect with us. The best part was leaving with ‘tools’ to use immediately.” —Anonymous
“Julie did a very thorough job of explaining the different types of data: process, perception, and outcome. The training was organized very well and the handouts were helpful. Thank you!!” —Lindsey
“Nicole and Vanessa are very knowledgeable and have been very helpful!  I learned a lot! The best part of the training was being able to practice what we learned.” —Anonymous
“There is constant talk in education about using data. But no one ever says what that data is or what that would look like for school counselors. No one had ever explained how data could redefine my school counseling program and how I perceive my role as a school counselor. Reading Trish’s book plus seeing her empowering keynote has changed everything about the way I think about and do school counseling. Her recent workshop in Orlando gave me more confidence to continue to redefine and improve my school counseling program.”—Jeannie
We are now booking trainings and keynote addresses for the 2017-2018 school year. If interested, please contact the office at or visit to learn more.
Many of our team members were proud to participate in the first annual Supporting Access to Higher Education for Immigrant & Undocumented Students Conference conducted by the Center for Excellence in School Counseling and Leadership (CESCaL), San Diego State University (SDSU), on April 27-28, 2016. Aiming to increase access to higher education for immigrant and undocumented students, this conference provided professional development in how to mentor, counsel, and advise these future college candidates. Don’t miss next year’s conference in April 2017. Visit for more details and registration.
Hatching Results is proud to have presented at the National Evidence-Based School Counseling Conference in Athens, Georgia and multiple state and local school counseling conferences throughout the country.  Be on the lookout for future speaking engagements in California, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Alaska, South Dakota, and Canada within the next few months.
