We enjoyed celebrating with everyone who attended our 10th Anniversary party on November 3 at the gorgeous Merrimon-Wynne house in downtown Raleigh. What a great night! We had over 275 people in attendance, and thanks to your support, Read and Feed raised over $63,000!
Each year for our fundraising event, we choose a book to use as our theme, and this year's book was "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." The analogy of the caterpillar becoming a beautiful butterfly is fitting for Read and Feed because when kids first arrive, they are sometimes shy, yet hungry to learn. When they leave our program, the kids have grown and blossomed into more confident readers.
November 3 was a busy night, and there were several opportunities to support Read and Feed.
We want to thank authors Gina Cascone and Bryony Williams Sheppard for coming to the event and signing copies of Around the World Right Now- their kids' book about people of all cultures living in the world together. The authors also donated 20 copies of the book for our children to enjoy.
We have these books available at the office (193 High House Road) for $17. Email jamie.buning@readandfeed.org if you are interested in buying one.

Once November comes around, we start seeing Christmas decorations pop up, and we begin making lists of presents to buy. If you plan to shop at Barnes and Noble, you can also help Read and Feed.
Shop online or at ANY Barnes and Noble store from December 9-14, and mention our Bookfair event ID number- 12194544, and we will get 10-20% of the proceeds. When shopping online, enter our ID number on the checkout page.
Please share this with all of your friends!
