This Chinese New Year of the Fire Monkey brings plenty of positive changes to my business, many of which I’ll be rolling out in upcoming newsletters.
Firstly, I am very pleased to introduce my business partnership with Michael Laurence Basham. For those of you whom we’ve worked with over the past 12 months, you will recognize his name and face. In addition to being my junior partner throughout 2015, Michael's credentials include 8 years running his own marketing consulting business specializing in real estate, working on a team of one of the Bay Area's top producing mortgage origination companies, and earning his degree (in 3 years no less) from UC Berkeley with a major in Economics. Michael’s detailed bio can be found here but suffice to say I'm thrilled to have him as a full fledged partner and am excited about how this partnership enables me to elevate the level of service my clients have come to expect, and deserve.
The kick off of the Spring selling season officially began today and if word on the street is to be believed, it looks like this year -- for a change -- we may actually see some inventory. That doesn’t mean the demand has lessened any, rather a number of the new projects that have been in the works for several years now are about to come online (see our upcoming tour of a few of them below). Couple that with stock market jitters, an election year and I'm looking forward to Spring potentially being a very good window to scoop up a better housing deal than I've been seeing for the past few years. Of course, good agents make good deals happen in any market, but it never hurts to have more inventory to choose from.
Starting this year in gratitude, I would like to thank you all for your continued loyalty and support. It's always an honor when former clients and friends call me with their own needs or recommend family and friends. Being able to offer them the highest level of service in a very competitive marketplace is what drives me daily, and my new partner Mr. Basham shares that passion.
The Pacific at 2121 Webster Street in Pacific Heights has been highly anticipated and is slated to begin selling the townhouses shortly. Competition will be fierce for this ‘boutique’ development as there truly is nothing like it in the neighborhood, and unlikely to be rivaled any time soon. No official word on pricing, but cracking the $2,000 per square foot mark, even with the current stock market volatility, is in the cards and some say it will hit $3,000 per square foot.
450 Hayes in Hayes Valley is a new 36 market-rate development that just began selling and is already about 60% reserved. The development includes a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans starting in the $900,000s. If you have any interest in touring the development we can get you in, but you need to call us to schedule before they're sold out. Access is quite limited.
There’s a lot of housing coming down the pipeline in 2016. In response to tremendous interest in these properties, we’ve organized a chauffeured ‘hard-hat, hole-in-the-ground’ preview for a select group of our friends and business partners — and we hope you can join us!
Just get yourself to St. Regis in San Francisco at 11am on the day of the tour. We are offering complimentary valet parking and a quick bite before we jump into the luxe bus for a guided tour of the new developments in the works.
We only have 4 remaining seats and all are welcome whether market watcher, serious investor or new home buyer.

Showplace Square is one of the original developments in Potrero HIll’s Design Center. Located on the top floor of 370 De Haro, Loft #A8 is the largest one bedroom in the first eight-unit building (the second phase at 301 Rhode Island followed shortly thereafter). This property features an extra-wide floor plan, light galore, and one of the most centrally located areas where you can walk to CalTrain, Mission Bay, SoMa, Potrero and the Mission. It’s an exciting location as well as a beautiful and versatile space, coupled with a fantastic group of neighbors.
Market Update: As of 2.8.2016 this loft is contract after seven days on the market, and is due to close escrow this coming Friday over its list price, which will set a price record for the highest one bedroom sale in the building.
Here's a sneak peek of our upcoming 1750 one-bedroom one-bathroom penthouse loft listing (see more photos on Instagram), message us for pre-market access.
