Clarification
Dear Reader,
There has been a misunderstanding about a post we published this week on our sister site "CoronavirusFacts.ru", and our lawyers have suggested that we issue this clarification so that there's no confusion going forward.
If you read the post ("Gargling battery acid will cure the coronavirus") closely, you'll realise that we never actually said that gargling with battery acid would cure the coronavirus. And when we used the words "this technique is recommended by the Australian Medical Association", we meant it sarcastically. We thought that was obvious. Clearly using their official logo just added to the sarcasm.
Further, we thought it was pretty obvious that when we said "Rebecca Judd does it every morning before breakfast and so should you," that we weren't offering any advice to take up a rigourous routine of battery acid gargling, and any suggestion to the contrary is deeply defamatory and will be dealt with through vigorous litigation.
The thing is, you can't say anything nowadays without hundreds of people fact-checking it. All we were doing was spit-balling some potentially good ideas that perhaps the experts hadn't thought of yet. Instead, we faced lawsuit after lawsuit claiming our words had consequence.
(By the way, if you do want to pick up some vials of grey-market battery acid, our CoronaVirusFacts Shop on the dark web still has some great deals on it. While you're at it, you may want to pick up a bottle of Gullibility Guard pills. You can't be too careful given all the mis-information that's floating around out there nowadays.)
