New to the CIRF Team:
CIRF welcomes Mazhun Idris,
an Atlas Corps Fellow from Nigeria
Mazhun has a Bachelor’s in Economic Science from Ahmadu Bello University, traditional training in Islamic studies, and proficiency certificates in Hausa and Arabic languages. He is a professional open-source data miner and a multimedia content editor. He has previously served as the acting editor of Al-Ikhtiyar, a monthly Islamic social reform magazine in Nigeria. He has authored two books, two academic papers, and a number of poems in literary magazines, along with many features that have appeared in Leadership, The Nation, Daily Trust and News of Nigeria newspapers. Mazhun will spend 2017 with CIRF working with our team and taking courses about religious freedom at the Newseum's Religious Freedom Center.
