Namaste Colleague
This ancient and touchless greeting has been offered as an alternative to conventional Western forms of salutation, appropriate to the current corona virus pandemic. For me, it offers a much deeper form of acknowledgement, beyond the social level and grounded in the spiritual.
Reflecting on this, it stirs within me empathy for the other's vulnerability, not only to illness but also the suffering caused by changing and unpredictable events. Herein lies the potential for authentic connection, support and learning from the experience.
This last weekend I was deeply touched by a friend live-streaming her daughter's singing performance broadcast to the neighbourhood. As you may guess, I am feeling particularly humbled by the magnitude of the events related to COVID-19, but more so how people's humanity is emerging strongly in this time of need.
If you feel this too, feel free to join our coaching community in the weekly community of practice events I am hosting. Details lower down.
