Pastor Cho's Thanksgiving Letter to the Congregation
Sisters and brothers in Christ,
Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord (1 Timothy 1:2b) to you and your family.
Thanksgiving weekend is around the corner. It is a time to count blessings and give thanks to our God, whose everlasting love is with us and in us. To mention a few of my thanksgivings: we have been joining together in the middle and in spite of the Covid 19 pandemic to worship via zoom (since Sunday, March 15) and in person (since Sunday, September 13), we have been praying in the morning (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 8 am) and we have been reading a chapter of the Bible daily. How about you? What thanksgiving do you like to offer to the Lord? “Give thanks in all circumstances: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
Last Sunday, November 22, was our Commitment Sunday for the 2021 mission and ministry of Fairfield Grace. Uncertainty is around us and before us but “we walk by faith not by sight”. (2 Corinthian 5:7) Pray and take a courageous and bold and confident step with me that we may keep on doing the will of God for the glory of God.
We are not a big faith community in number and in finances, but a great small community of faith filled with love and friendship in Christ. “Live as children of light … Try to find out what is pleasing to the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:8b-10) “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” (Matt 5:13) Let us keep our light shining with joy and thanksgiving.
See you Sunday.
