It’s a year of change for Black Rock Elementary School with old friends moving to a new school. Many of those moving away have been a big part of helping our school and we have some holes to fill. Jog-A-Thon: This is our school’s main fundraiser to pay for paraprofessionals in each grade and it is held at the beginning of the school year. Most planning occurs over the summer.
Spirit Wear: Designing, ordering, and arranging sales of Black Rock shirts. Sales occur several times a year.
SHINE: The school variety show occurs in early 2019. Help is needed on three nights: auditions, rehearsal, and at the event.
Restaurant Nights: Over the summer restaurants are contacted and dates are set up, then monthly reminders are sent out throughout the school year.
Staff Appreciation: The PTO arranges a week of surprises for the staff at the end of the year.
