Sagamore Hills Families:

Our in-person learners have done a phenomenal job following mitigation strategies and adjusting to school procedures; also, our virtual learners continue to be engaged during the concurrent learning model.  I am very proud of our Wildcats and hats off to our amazing teachers and staff!

As of March 29th,  all in-person learners (PreK - 5th grade) will report on the 4-day weekly schedule. Wednesdays are remote/Independent Learning Days.

Virtual learning will continue; however, there is an opportunity to transition to in-person instruction at the end of the 13.5-week grading interval. Parents/Guardians should send an email to Dr. Mark Montello during the decision window (March 22 - April 2, 2021) if you would like for your child to begin in-person learning on April 29, 2021.

Car Riders/Parent Pick up

Please remember to display/show the yellow Sagamore Hills issued car rider tag.  A state issued ID will be required if this card is not visible or provided for pick up.  We utilize the students' book-bag tags to verify the car rider tags. Thank you for your cooperation.

Get Involved- The PTA Needs You!
(Yes, YOU!!!!)

The PTA has several positions open for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year and we are looking for enthusiastic parents to help us fill these roles. The PTA is open to EVERY parent at Sagamore and there's a role for every interest, ability and time commitment.

Currently we are looking to fill the PTA Chair roles of:

Additionally, we are looking for volunteers to help with smaller, but still incredibly important roles such as:
-Room Parent Coordinator for 2021-2022
-School Pictures

Stay tuned for another Q & A session about PTA.

Hi Wildcat Parents-

The PTA has learned that another way we can help keep staff and students healthy at school is to provide cleaner air in the classrooms. The CDC has recommended HEPA air purifiers that exchange the air 4 or more times in an hour in addition to the HVAC system.

The PTA has consulted with several companies and picked units that are highly rated, easily maintained, affordable, and offer the CDC's recommended air exchanges based on the classroom size.

Below is a link to the CDC article from February 2021 making the recommendation.

CDC Article here on the recommendation of air purifiers in the classroom

Most Importantly...We can’t do it without your support.

If every family was able to contribute $30 per child they have attending the school as well as each staff member at the school we would easily meet our goal. While we understand that not every family can afford that we encourage you to reach out to YOUR extended community and family and ask for their help to keep our school as healthy as possible as we welcome everyone back to face-to-face learning. Even if your child is not coming back right now keep in mind these units will be in the classrooms moving forward to help keep the classroom air cleaner for all for years to come.

Are you able to give more...amazing?

No amount is too small.

Together I know we can do this by March 30th.
