Authorizing the President of the Board to execute an agreement with Minerva Construction, Inc., in the amount of $3,483,652 for the Midcoast Multi-Modal Trail Improvements Project not to exceed amount of $3,832,017.20 for items requiring adjustment based on unit bid prices without execution of a change order.

Note. ERAF is a mechanism enacted in July of 1992 by the State Legislature to shift local property tax revenues from cities, counties, and special districts to an Educational Revenue Augmentation Fund. These funds are allocated by the State to schools to help meet minimum funding requirements.

If the ERAF goes away that will reduce GCSD Park “income” by $300-400k per year.

"Emanuel “Sam” McDonald was born on a plantation in Louisiana in 1884. His father was a free, educated man; his mother was born into slavery.

Sam’s mother passed when he was very young, and the family moved to Southern California in 1890. In 1897 they moved to Gilroy, where Sam gained the farming and horsemanship expertise that would help guide his career."
