Pillar Point Harbor Plans to Capture 5M Gallons of Storm Water for an 86% Offset and Improved Harbor Water Quality

This is a Department of Water Resources (DWR) funded project centering around improving the run off from the Harbor’s two large parking lots equalling 435,000 square feet and 5M gallons captured.

The Oceano Hotel parking lot is the next candidate. They are legally responsible for their run off.

Following the midnight lead of the MCC, on Feb. 9th, the County Planning Commission voted to reject the off-leash dog-walking pilots at Pillar Point Bluff and Quarry Park.  Previously the MCC changed their minds on the off-leach dog-walking issue at midnight on Jan. 26th, which likely contributed to the Commission’s vote.   But this issue isn’t over….

PRESS RELEASE. From the City of Half Moon Bay, Tuesday, February 15th, 2022.

The City of Half Moon Bay is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ)seeking qualified candidates to develop Affordable Housing on a City-owned parcel located at 555 Kelly Avenue in Half Moon Bay. The City will consider a range of affordable housing types, target populations, and project configurations.  Maximizing the number of affordable housing units is a priority. Submittals are due by 5:00 PM Monday May 9, 2022.

The Coastside History Museum in the Jail at 505 Johnston St has reopened  Saturday and Sunday with limited hours (usually 12-2).  Masks are optional for fully vaccinated visitors, otherwise masks are required. As part of Make It Main Street, it will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month.
