The City of Half Moon Bay is pleased to provide the Community Services Financial Assistance (CSFA) grant program. It’s designed to provide funding to nonprofit organizations in Half Moon Bay in support of their local community services programs, and it provides a wonderful opportunity for collaboration toward meeting those needs.

Program Overview

Local nonprofits are encouraged to apply for grants from the CSFA to support their local activities and programs serving the community. Local nonprofits can apply for grants that will typically range between $5,000 and $25,000. Grants are not intended to support an agency’s fundraising efforts; they may only be used to fund specific programs which directly serve the community members of Half Moon Bay.

Zoe Chait is the Middle School Surf Champ for the State of California!!

ARTICLE.  Scholastic Surf Series hosted a State Championship Surf Competition in Oceanside, CA.

Out of approximately 27 schools and 48 female short board surfers, our very own Cuhna Middle School student, Zoe Chait took first place and won!

Zoe surfed smart throughout the whole competition despite small, choppy, shore breaks. With her sharp, clean turns and maneuvers Zoe was able to easily move through all of the heats throughout the day.

Zoe has only been surfing for about 2.5 years and is a very dedicated, focused athlete that gives her all in every contest.

Zoe is in 7th grade and plans to continue surfing for Cuhna Middle school next season.

If you see Zoe around town be sure to congratulate her on her win, this is no small feat.
