I Was Attacked By… Russian Vaccine Propaganda!

OWN VOICE. ~ InPerspective by Gregg Dieguez —

The pro-vaccine article I wrote this week was attacked with misinformation propaganda before it was even published!  I posted a draft of that article last Sunday so my peer collaborators could review and help improve it.  It did not include the normal menu access, and there was no publication announcement.  Nevertheless, on Tuesday the Blog received the email copied in below.  It’s a mix of valid medical terms, but misused and misdirected, turning into nonsense logic, with a bunch of lies, links and attachments to Anti-Vax sites and wrapping up with a bunch of Biblical passages, which presumably appeal to their target audience segment.1984 is Now.

Reimagine SamTrans Reaches Out to the Coastside ~ Would An “On Demand” Service Work Best?

The SamTrans Planning department is working on a comprehensive operational analysis of the SamTrans bus routes called Reimagine SamTrans.
The goal is to develop a transportation system that best meets the public transit and mobility needs of San Mateo County.

The Planning department has developed several transportation alternatives and is now seeking public input.   They will then refine the alternatives and come back to the community for additional public input.

When we discussed the Reimagine SamTrans plan at an earlier Coastside meeting, the group had a lot of good comments. One alternative in Reimagine SamTrans includes a possible “on demand” service on the Coastside.

County CHIPPER PROGRAM Back in Mid-May 2021 for El Granada, Moss Beach and Montara

GET READY!  Mon May 17 - Thu May 20

EVENT. Last year, in 2020, the community chipping program was yet another tremendous success due to the support of the community, San Mateo County Fire Safe Council, The Resource Conservation District and volunteers who helped staff the event.

The combined effort removed almost 800 loads of brush from the yards of residents throughout our community.

The Neighborhood Chipper Program is based on a “you cut, we chip” model. If a fire were to impact our community these efforts would help firefighters better defend our homes and our community.
