Transform. offers a great opportunity to Network, Engage & Transform. The program consists of four sessions providing an overview of the management and governance of Half Moon Bay, its departments, and its programs. And, you’ll get an insider’s view of the City. The objectives of NET are to involve and engage community members in learning about and understanding the operation of city government, and to improve communication between the City and those who live and work here.
The program is free, but space is limited, so make sure to fill out your application next Thursday! The deadline to apply is 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9.

A teenager’s website tracking coronavirus has become one of the most vital resources for people seeking accurate and updated numbers on the pandemic.

The URL is nCoV2019.live. We speak with 17-year-old Avi Schiffmann, a high school junior from Mercer Island outside Seattle, who started the site in late December, when coronavirus had not yet been detected outside of China.

Now the site has been visited by tens of millions from every country on Earth.

He’s my American Lab, a human trapped in black fur, and he likes meeting and greeting people. Of late, however,people have stopped petting my dog! Which is a mixed blessing. For me, it helps because while dogs can’t catch CV-19, it could be passed on via their fur. So, by not petting him, we’re keeping each other safe. On the other hand, he doesn’t understand what he did wrong. People used to be so friendly.

Learn to sail! This is a safe and fun way for youth ages 8-16 to learn how to sail in either an Optimist (Opti) or Laser. Both boats are extremely popular recreational dinghies that also feature prominently in competition. Most certainly STEM! (science, technology, engineering, and math).
