HMB Coastside Election Results NOT FINAL YET- Early Counts Represent Only 40% of Votes!!

ARTICLE. Half Moon Bay, CA – The City of Half Moon Bay is advising the community that the results of yesterday’s election are not yet final, and in fact as of today are based on only 40% of the votes cast. This percentage does not include votes mailed in on election day, which may not be received until Friday.

The final vote tally will be provided by the San Mateo County elections office, and may take several days to complete. As of today, that office’s election results website notes, “This information is a raw count estimate (not tallied) that is subject to change and updated daily.” The County’s next announcement of the ongoing vote count is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, November 8, 2018, at 4:30 pm.

  • Wednesday, December 19, 2018 – Study session on:
    • Chapter 5 – Coastal Access and Recreation
    • Chapter 7 – Coastal Hazards
    • Chapter 8 – Cultural Resources
    • Chapter 9 – Scenic and Visual Resources

Staff will also give a brief overview of the Introduction, Framework, and Development chapters, which will subsequently be posted online at www.planhmb.org

The annual Book Sale is the Friends of the Half Moon Bay Library’s biggest fundraiser! Proceeds go toward funding programs, classes, children’s events, and special activities at the stunning new 21st Century Half Moon Bay Library.

The Friends are excited to host this Book Sale in the new community room and courtyard of the new Library. Get your holiday gifts and stocking stuffers! Book prices are 50 cents, $1, $2 and $3.
And, at the end of the day from 3 – 4 pm you can fill a bag of books for 5 dollars. BYOB – bring your own bag!
The Friends of Half Moon Bay Library is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the State Of California. In A Sick Day for Amos McGee, Erin Stead’s exquisitely pencil-drawn faces and use of colour bring zookeeper Amos, his animal friends and their story to life. It is a charming story about companionship and learning kindness through imitation, with several visual subplots involving the sock-wearing penguin and a red balloon, and a sort of parallel life for small animals including their own miniature bus-stop, with plenty more details to enjoy again and again and again and again.
