Half Moon Bay Chamber’s CEO Charise McHugh’s Farewell Speech

She gave her farewell speech at The Annual Recognition Awards Dinner earlier this year. I circled back and had her podcast the speech, as it really is loving and inspirational.

Bedtime Stories ~ Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel

Today’s Bedtime Story is Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel, read by the Half Moon Bay’s Chamber of Commerce CEO Charise McHugh. Mike and Mary Anne the red steam shovel are a true pair, digging all sorts of things like railroad tunnels and big boat canals. But once the new types of shovels started to take all the jobs, Mike and Mary Anne can’t get any work. They finally hear of a job in the small town of PopperVille to dig the town’s cellar and head on an adventure. Find out how Mike and Mary Anne triumphed thanks to their hard work and found an ingenious way they could continue to contribute to the community!

Helping others learn to cook is almost as great of a joy for Angelini as cooking itself. She started by teaching her four grandchildren to cook, and branched out into teaching classes. Now Angelini runs a business from her kitchen, teaching children age 5 and up and leading classes for adults. She also cooks for corporate events using ingredients from the coastside area, like Harley Farms goat cheese, Marilyn Johnson’s jams, and local Brussels sprouts.
