AGENDIZED! How About Building a Gondola From Half Moon Bay Over Hwy 92 to San Mateo?

On Tuesday, April 5, the City Council will receive a presentation from Dr. Peter Von Bleichert, a Business Professor at the College of San Mateo on aerial trams, aka gondolas.

Dr. Bleichert published an article for a national engineering magazine on his proposal for an aerial tram in Half Moon Bay, which he will present to the City Council. The presentation will include information on potential alignment, gondolas, stations, funding, revenue generation, and next steps. This is an information-only item.

They’re BAAACKKK…  The next major Hwy 1 project includes those VMS signs that were so unpopular before.  Caltrans is again holding hearings and requesting feedback on their projects. This is a good thing, and there’s proof they listened to (some of) what we said before. However, their latest large project definition seems off-base to me in several ways. I’m going to share these thoughts with them, but I thought I’d share them with you first, and ask you to chime in.

No experience is necessary; beginners are welcome! Campers do need to be comfortable in the water while wearing a life jacket and wetsuit.

Seattle-based Flamenco dancer, Savannah Fuentes, returns to Half Moon Bay with her latest show, Eterno, El Flamenco Vive. Savannah has toured the West Coast extensively for the past 10 years, presenting Flamenco in its raw form: voice, dance, and guitar. In fall 2019 she brought Diego Amador Jr. from Sevilla on tour and they opted to become a duo once the pandemic hit.

With a tenacious eye, Richard began watching chefs in Hawaii as they prepared pigs for traditional Luaus. The allure of the banquet sized paella pan for up to 200 guests enables everyone to enjoy his superb culinary treats.
