Herd Immunity and Vaccination

OWN VOICE. ~ InPerspective by Bruce Laird

150 to 450 Truck Loads Needed to Create Rock Fingers For Mavericks Trail (“West Trail”) Living Shoreline Design

VIDEO. 78 days of construction 12/17/2020 to 4/5/2021 ~ $2 million cost.

How will this work during Mavericks season?

Night work “to minimize impacts”?

What will the humans, birds and sea life think?

What routes will the trucks take take to and from the Airport. within the Harbor and to and from Quarry Park?  At night?

Rock Finger Construction: Moving 5,000 Cubic Yards of Sand and Rock from Airport and the Quarry ~ Not Yet Approved

“Average large dump truck holds 10 cubic yards.  One of those big debris
trucks, maybe 4 times that, but not if it’s all rock, that would be
way over load limits.  So somewhere between 150 and 450 truck loads.”

~ Dave Olson, Midcoast Community Council (MCC).

Local World Class Photographer Michael Powers’s Last Photo of His 79th Year

HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Michael Powers turned 80, recently. Living in Miramar since the 1960s, Michael has seen the Coastside change.

Yes, the beach used to roll up right to his door in Miramar, by the Medio (Miramar) Bridge, in the 1960s.  The US Army Corp of Engineers has admitted that the Jetty Breakwater is the cause of erosion for the Miramar bluffs, south of the Jetty.

Have a careful look at that Miramar photo.

Coastal locals can start from Montara and can top off their “E” along the way to HMB, and in HMB itself.

  • New ways of donating.
  • What about 3 traffic officers, Saturday and Sunday, for 3 fall months, like during Pumpkin Festival?

However, tragedy would intervene, just as it had for the ship’s namesake- a reference to the ill-fated arctic explorers of the Franklin Expedition, for this ship and crew were destined to wreck.
