Have You Read Your Own Bio Lately?
I meet agents all the time who got their website 'live' and haven't looked at it since! I want to help encourage you to expose yourself online, and one of the best returns on your investment, is creating an engaging bio.
You want your bio to tell your story and make readers FEEL like you are talking right to them.
A bit of emotion, a bit of the scoop behind the 'curtain' of your business life, a bit of your professional expertise....they can all work together to connect with new potential clients who are reading about you because they got your name from somebody.
Here is what we would do if we worked on this:
- Research other professionals with great Bio's
- Time Block an hour to focus
- Pour a beverage of choice
- Put our feet up and reminisce - Why did you become a Realtor? What was one of your first experiences? What did your parents think about real estate? Your grandparents? What milestones have you helped others achieve? What advice did you get - or do you always give? ..... Ask yourself questions until you come up with the core message of how you can help and why they should meet with YOU!
This is traditionally called your USP - Unique Selling Proposition. It becomes your brand and your reputation.
