We have made the decision to not exhibit at this year's SWPP Tradeshow to allow us to focus our time and resources on taking Imaculum out of beta and onto a full release. However, Charles will be visiting the show on Friday 13th January. If you'd like to speak with Charles that day in person to discuss Imaculum please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange meeting up.
Following the regular Imaculum update sent out earlier today, several people quickly replied enquiring about when Imaculum would be Mac compatible. We use Macs, we love Macs, but resource limits meant our initial response was along the lines of:
'We wish to bring Imaculum over to Mac in the future, but we don't know when. We are a small company, for us to concurrently develop on two operating systems would place an unsustainable strain on our current resources.'
Windows and MacOS operate using different programming languages, which would mean we would have to translate all the many thousands of lines of Windows code into Mac code, and then continue to develop both code bases at the same time. No easy feat.
However, we may have hit on a method which streamlines the process. Please note, we have not got Imaculum fully up and running on our Macs yet - Imaculum uses a lot of complex methods for the connecting of computers across a network, syncing of files and face recognition - this is no guarantee of a fully functional Mac version of Imaculum soon, but we did wanted to share this promising sign...
