The Archer Center Spotlight: July 2016

2016 Graduate Fellows Wrap Up Exciting Summer

The 2016 Graduate Fellows are completing the final weeks of their summer in Washington. Outside of their internships and classes, the cohort has taken advantage of tours of The White House, the Pentagon, The Huffington Post and National Public Radio. The Graduate Fellows have also learned firsthand from a variety of experts through the Archer Center’s 2016 Summer Speaker Series focused on health policy. Next week, these 30 bright and talented students will wrap up their fellowship with a graduation luncheon, ceremony and reception. We look forward to watching them continue to flourish as they return to their graduate, doctoral or medical studies in Texas.

The Archer Center Goes Behind the Gavel

At the Archer Center’s most recent 15th Anniversary Celebration event, supporters and alumni enjoyed a “Behind the Gavel” experience and special discussion with U.S. House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady and former Chairman Bill Archer. Additional special events continue throughout 2016 as we celebrate this milestone for the Archer Center!
