The Archer Center Spotlight: December 2015

Fall 2015 Fellows celebrate their graduation from the Archer Fellowship Program.

Archer Fellows Celebrate Successful Semester

This month the Fall 2015 Archer Fellows wrapped up their semester in D.C. with several activities, including a graduation luncheon and ceremony, as well as a reception with their mentors and other Archer Center alumni. While many of the students are returning to their home campuses to complete their undergraduate studies, several members of the cohort were able to parlay their internship experiences into full-time jobs. As the newest members of the Archer Fellow Alumni Association, they immediately joined hundreds of other alumni in supporting The Archer Center's Annual Giving Program by encouraging alumni participation in giving back to the Center. Click here or on the image below to see their message, and read on to learn how you can support future Archer Fellows.

Be Part of Archer Center History

2015 was a record year for The Archer Center, as we welcomed our largest class to date of Graduate Fellow and graduated the 30th cohort of undergraduate Archer Fellows this fall. In January, we'll begin our 15th year of educating the next generation of leaders from Texas. You can help the Center continue to serve even more UT System students by joining the 2016 Friends of The Archer Center Trust or participating in the Center’s Annual Giving Program.

Trustees not only provide vital financial support to the Center and our students, but also have direct input as to how their donations are used. Trustees commit to contribute or raise a minimum of $500 annually. Each year, the Trust is presented with several initiatives developed by Archer Center staff and the Archer Fellow Alumni Association (AFAA), and Trustees vote on which initiative(s) to fund. To join the 2016 Trust, simply make an online donation through The Archer Center’s online giving portal and select “Archer Center Trust” from the drop-down menu under “Designation”. Please contact Archer Center Director Katie Romano with any questions.

To participate in the Annual Giving Program, visit The Archer Center’s online giving portal, make a contribution and select “Archer Center Initiatives” from the “Designation” drop-down menu. Donations received by 11:50pm CT on December 31, 2015 are 2015 tax-deductible.
