Greetings from Germany Everyone,

I'm in between adventures at the moment, staying with a friend in Heidelberg. I'm about to go to Bosnia and borrow a bike to ride through Croatia for several weeks. Sitting still and catching up on correspondence, plus visiting with old friends, has me thinking a lot about my travels -  past, present and future.

Past travels illustrate that it's the people who matter. Sure the locations are great to see, and riding in them is deliciously awesome, but it's the people I meet who linger in my memories and in my life. I met the fellow I'm staying with here in Germany on a motorcycle trip 10 years ago. He was riding from Patagonia to NY, and I was presenting at a motorcycle gathering in Canada. Visiting with him now it occurs to me that he's the one who inspired me to ride solo to Argentina in 2009-2010. He stayed with me for a few weeks in the States helping me with my business, and now I've been working with him in his coffee roastery/food truck business.

Present travels are to meet up with a fellow I met in El Salvador on my South America trip. He keeps a bike in Europe and for years has been inviting me to ride it. I finally said yes because riding in Croatia is a bucket list item for me.
Future travels will be shaped by both opportunities, as well as lessons learned on this journey. Travel isn't all peaches and perfection, and I'll be talking about that more with our Facebook Community. If you haven't liked us on Facebook yet, please do so. I want to grow our tribe so we can start having deep discussions about pushing our envelopes and learning more about ourselves through motorcycling and the adventures we say YES to.  Since you've joined, I'd love to hear what you want out of our community.

All my best, ~Alisa
