Our second poll to determine what features the Islandora community wants to prioritize garnered a total of 80 responses. Roughly 2/3 of those responses came from people who identified as users rather than developers. Documentation ranked most highly, with a number of other highly ranked features already in development. For a full break down of the results, read more.

Event: Building the maintenance-mindset into Islandora lifecycle
On September 22, the Islandora Foundation will play Zoom host to an ISLE Release Party coordinated by the Islandora Collaboration Group and open as a drop-in event for anyone who is interested in upgrading their ISLE installations, adopting ISLE, or just asking questions and learning more about this community-supported Docker deployment for Islandora.
Just in time for next week's upgrade party, this new release For ISLE 7 contains minor upgrades and fixes to supporting software. Full release notes can be found here. Highlights of changes in the ISLE 1.5.2 release include:
Security updates to images and minor version upgrades for various components.
After a few years on hiatus, the DIG is being relaunched as a place where we can have discussions about the best approaches for building and maintaining Islandora documentation, identify and prioritize gaps and opportunities for improvement, and coordinate community work to write and edit our shared Islandora documentation.
Co-convenors Melissa Anez, Mirko Hanke, and Jeff Rubin invite you to fill out this Doodle poll to find a time for a kick-off meeting. One of the first orders of business at the initial meeting will be to establish a day and time for a recurring monthly meeting.
