Dear Members,

Last year it was another successful year for ECWT regarding projects. We have been included into a diversified range of European Projects and we have been successfully awarded the majority of them. In 2015 we have been awarded 4 new Erasmus+ projects, an EEA Grants application and also a new Research project under Horizon 2020.

In this year’s calls we are invited to participate in 6 new proposals and we are working on getting involved in even more. We are aiming to become one of the leading EU networks providing substantial and highly relevant services and products to our members and we would love to see even more of you getting involved along with the Secretariat in this process.
ECWT is also proud to share and disseminate the outcomes and evaluate the impact of the projects. In 2015 we have successfully ended 4 of our projectsDIGA, LIST, INSPIREYOWUP, DIGITAL JOBS while CaMEO and igma2 will be concluded during the first half year of 2016.  All these projects are documented with a lot of results, tools and services that can be used by you and provide you with added value material for boosting your growth and sustainability.
Once more I kindly invite all of you to contact us and become more actively involved in this process and in our European Affairs Management work for a true win-win for your organization!

FROM NORWAY: The Girl Project Ada: A Successful Project for Recruiting Female Students to the ICT-Studies at NTNU (Norway)

Since the 1990s the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) has organized an annual Girls Day in order to attract more females to the Science and Technology studies.
The event was held again on 4th – 5th February this year. 250 girls from all over Norway, in their final year of high school, spent two days at the university where they learnt about what and why to study Science and Technology.
The exciting 2-day program included presentations both by students, PhD candidates and professors, mingling periods with students presenting their study programs on stands and guided tours on campus. The high school girls were also invited to an amazing dinner party  at the student union, where they dined with current students at NTNU while being informed and entertained from stage: speeches on student life and international student festivals, as well as being entertained by the university male choir and theater groups.
Of those who attended Girls Day in 2013, 55% are today studying Science and Technology at NTNU. Many say that participating at the Girls Day was what made them decide to go for a Science and Technology study.
