Exciting new changes as we enter into 2017! As we continue to expand and work on some amazing new animated shows Atomic Cartoons have brought two superstars on board - Matthew Berkowitz has been appointed Head of Development and Kramer Hoehn our new Head of Production. Matt's role includes developing and growing the studio’s slate of original properties and co-productions, while Kramer will lead those productions along with ease and success working alongside our artists and clients.

Previously, Matt oversaw Arc Production’s development slate and established production relationships with partners like Sony Animation, DreamWorks Animation, Amazon Studios, Lego, Zodiak Kids and Sprout. He has previously held positions at Film Roman and Strike Entertainment.

Kramer has been on board at Atomic almost five years starting as a coordinator on Ella the Elephant and moved to Babar - Season 3 and Pirate Express as production manager. Kramer's latest roles were as Line Producer on Winston Steinburger and Counterfeit Cat. Atomic President, Jennifer McCarron is ecstatic with the new additions.

Crew Profile: Alex Cichon
Atomic is very lucky to be working with Alex Cichon. He is incredibly driven, tenacious and his wonderful 'can do' attitude is such a bonus for production. Alex was recently promoted to Production Manager on his CG project and is continuing to excel. He also has an amazing sense of humor and his 'gif' game is second to none.

What do you do at Atomic? I am a Production Manager/Line Producer

Explain your daily work day...My day to day routine tends to vary quite a bit. I will check my emails and calendar and prep for any upcoming meetings. As the Artists and Coordinators arrive I work with my team to solve any issues.I manage our clients, create schedules and make sure the production stays on track.

How long have you been at Atomic? 3 years-ish

How did you get into producing? While attending film school I naturally progressed towards a producing role. Once graduated I produced a Crazy 8's short film and eventually had the opportunity to co-produce an indie feature.

What Post-Secondary School did you go to and why did you choose that school? I attended the Film Production Program at the Vancouver Film School.

Favourite things to do in Vancouver? I enjoy going to see live music, trying new restaurants, snow shoeing at Seymour and touring the local breweries.
