Deadline for Registration: MARCH 22

"Do all the good you can" on Friday, April 7 to Sunday, April 9 as Spiritual Life heads down to Evergreen, VA to work with the UMCOR to rebuild homes that were affected by tornadoes that came through in February of 2016. 

Volunteers will be doing a variety of construction projects, so all skill levels are welcomed! The group will be working a day and a half, and will leave from SU around 4 pm on Friday and return to campus by 5 pm on Sunday. 

There is a $25 deposit to reserve your spot and to help offset the costs of transportation and food. Trip payments are due to Hornet Central by Friday, March 22 at 5 p.m.

 Garden Clean Up
April 2 (Noon - 3 pm)

Market Street United Methodist Church is looking for volunteers to help with their outdoor clean up. Volunteers will be helping to mulch, trim bushes, pick up trash, and rake, in order to get the church ready for their Easter celebrations. To sign up, contact Danielle LaBar at
Habitat for Humanity Events

Habitat of Winchester-Frederick-Clarke is looking for volunteers to assist with two different events in April. 
April 22 - ReStore Grand Opening
(Shifts or all day)
The ReStore is having a grand opening for their new location. Volunteers are needed to help greet customers, move stock around, and keep the store organized during this time. All proceeds from the ReStore go towards Habitat's missions.

April 29 - Volunteer Appreciation Awards (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
Volunteers are needed to set up, tear down, and assist with running the Volunteer Appreciation Awards event.

Shenandoah Green Works and the Environmental Studies Program are looking for volunteers to help plant and tend a garden starting this spring.
