AIDS Response Effort Gift Wrap Fundraiser

~ December 9 - 24 ~
AIDS Response Effort is looking for volunteers to wrap gifts at Apple Blossom Mall to fundraise for their housing programs. ARE is a local nonprofit that provides information and services for those with HIV/AIDS in our community.
 
Campus Toy Drive
 
Alpha Kappa Psi will be collecting toy donations for Toys For Tots in the Brandt Student Center and at various other campus locations for children in need. For more information, contact Shelby Ellis at sellis14@su.edu.
United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley
Crockpot Drive
~ November 14 - December 2 ~

United Way Crockpot Drive invites you to help local children who can't afford a hot meal during the holidays. Join the United Way Northern Shenandoah Valley in donating a crockpot or putting money into the crockpot purchasing fund. Crockpots can be dropped off until Friday, December 2, in Gregory Hall, Room 120. For more information about the crockpot drive, click here or contact Heather Pollak at hpollak15@su.edu.

One Crockpot = Huge Impact
What kind of impact can a crockpot have on a local family?
The Office of Spiritual Life will be collecting personal care kits for those affected by Hurricane Mathew, which will then be dispersed by the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). Both monetary donations and donations of complete kits can be brought to Goodson Chapel to be collected. The Office of Spiritual Life will take care of shipping completed kits.

Kitchen of Hope

Market Street United Methodist Church is looking for volunteers to serve and prepare meals for Kitchen of Hope, a program that provides free hot meals to the community on Thursday nights.
Volunteer commitment is from 4:15- 7:00 every Thursday. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please contact Jean Stewart at judgehokie@aol.com or (540)533-7547.
