To our 5th Annual Arr'some Pirate Regatta Participants
for Sunday, August 4th

Things to remember.

As much as we love our four legged friends please leave them at home.
By now you should all have your t-shirts, if you registered late please just have your kids wear black or white t-shirts or we can give an armband.
Have a question while at the Regatta? Look for our volunteers in red or our hosts in yellow. Need to use a washroom, please ask a host.
Things begin at the Boyce's on 37 Fire Route 85 (Walsh), make sure you are there by 9:30 to register, get your loot bags and sign your flag. The location is marked on the water and road with a #1. Parents will sign waivers.

The Donut Eating Challenge starts at 10am, BUT instructions and rules will be advised to the kids by Admiral Sue before the donut eating contest begins.  We want to go over a few things as it's a lot to remember.

Use of the whistles are for safety purposes only while on the water in case you or your vessel are in distress.

Life jackets are a must to be worn by the kids. There should be enough life jackets in the boat for each participant. Each boat should have basic safety equipment. Boats must be NON motorized.

NEW this year, a first aid station as there were some blisters from all that fast paddling.

After the donut challenge, the water challenge begins. You will follow the arrows and collect one flag per team member per boat for the orange and blue flags.  For the black and white flags only one per boat.

When you make your way to the last row of flags there will be people in the water with water soakers, you can bypass this location if you don't want to get wet.  Please note they have been advised not to soak the littlest of ones.

There will be people ready to help you land your boats and report to Admiral Sue for the flags to be counted.

Participants may choose to walk down the road to the second location. It will be marked with #2 at the road and at the water.

Then you can begin the challenges in any order. You can repeat challenges as often as you like but you must line up again.  The obstacle course is more for the smaller kids, but we also have kayak water polo hockey.   So depending on the ages of the kids they can go straight to the water or do a few challenges then kayaking or do them all.  We are endeavouring to have activities for all ages.

Parking space will be clearly marked and is available at the starting location #37 Fire Route 85 and also at #15 & #20.

Please be considerate and dispose of garbage in the appropriate bins. We appreciate our neighbours for hosting and want to leave their properties in good condition.

We hope you all have an Arrrr'some Time!

Random Acts of Kindness

As part of our Random Acts of Kindness campaign, we'll be giving these star tattoos to children who are being kind at the Regatta. Say hello to someone you've never met, introduce yourself, help someone, make a new friend, pick up some garbage. It not only feels good to be kind, but we'll reward your team with points.

Our spotters will send kids to the kindness booth where they can write their act of kindness and get a tattoo.

Thank you to Logan Tree Experts for sponsoring our campaign.
