Happy Groundhog Day

Wairton Willie predicts an early spring for 2021, fingers crossed!  So what a perfect time to announce our new contest.  We are thrilled to announce that Grow Wild Native Plant Nursery in Omemee is donating one of each of their 2021 Perennial Pollinator kits  Go to our website and enter the draw for your chance to win.

Just a couple more things to inform you of this month.

1) Scavenger Hunt: with the extended lockdown we have decided to extend the scavenger hunt until  February 28th.  Please note we have had some entries already and we are happy to report that Dean & Tracy Downing have won the grand prize consisting of a 6 pack of sample beers from the Bobcaygeon Brewing Company, bulk reusable storage bags from the Garden of Eden,  jam & sauce purchased from Kawartha Country Wines, cookies donated by the Boyces, drink kooshies donated by Cottage Country Connections and a snowflake pottery ornament donated by Sues Flanagan Creates.
Everyone who enters a correct guess will also receive beer, kooshie, cookies and snowflake ornament. We have enough for 20 successful entries. John & Nancy Boyce have also donated some indigenous artist colouring books and jigsaw puzzles from the Avant-Garden Shop and a $25 gift certificate for the Buckhorn Community Centre, which we will use for random draws.  So get out on the lake and complete the hunt.
